Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Offers Tastes of the Islands on Christmas Day

HONOLULU – November 28, 2016 – With the smell of gingerbread in the air, and the halls decked out island style, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is the perfect place to enjoy a sumptuous brunch or dinner buffet with the family on Christmas, Sunday, December 25.

Chef Chris Kirksey and his team have put together a pair of hearty holiday feasts. Christmas Day Brunch between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (last reservation at 12:30 p.m.) features a carving station with ham with honey mustard glaze, an omelet station for eggs cooked any style; plus hot entrée selections such as miso-glazed salmon filet, fried rice with bacon, buttermilk pancakes with cinnamon spiced apples, French Toast with cranberry compote and eggs benedict. Cold selections include a yogurt parfait bar with fruit compote, berries, granola and nuts; a salad bar; peel-and-eat shrimp; assorted maki sushi and local seasonal fruit. The dessert bar will delight diners with chocolate mousse cake, Christmas cupcakes, shortbread cookies, tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake and croissant raisin bread pudding. The cost is $45 per adult, $22.50 for children between 5 and 12 years of age; and children under 5 are free with a paying adult (prices do not include tax and gratuity).

During the evening, Chef Kirksey’s Christmas Dinner Buffet features garlic-herb prime rib, bone-in ham, steamed crab legs, sage-butter roasted turkey and misoyaki salmon filet. Among the cold selections are sashimi, assorted maki sushi, ahi poke, tako poke and peel-and-eat shrimp. Additionally, the buffet will feature garlic and chive mashed red skin potatoes, asparagus in lemon oil, sweetbread stuffing, roasted carrots and ricotta ravioli. Delectable desserts include assorted Ted’s pies, fresh island fruits, an ice cream sundae bar, apple spice cake, haupia cake, and warm bread pudding chocolate mousse.

The cost is $59 for adults, $29.50 for children between 5 and 12 years of age; and children under 5 are free with a paying adult (prices do not include tax and gratuity). Seating times will be between 4:30 and 9:00 p.m. with the last reservation at 8 p.m. Four-hour, free validated parking is available at the hotel for all brunch or dinner patrons.
